This is a picture that Isabel's teacher took at school on Friday. She is in the front in the purple jacket and white beret. It's a rare thing to be able to play in the snow at school! They didn't release them until 1:40 that day. It was so much fun for them to get to see real snow! It melted off pretty quickly and as is customary in Texas, tomorrow we'll be back in the 70s!

Snow Day
We had a snow day yesterday in Katy! The kids got out of school early and got to play in it some. I took alot more pictures but I think I had my camera on the wrong setting or something so they are lost!

Gabby's 4th Birthday!
Gabby had her 4th birthday on the road on the trip home from camping which seemed to take forever! She got to eat at Chick Fil A and McDonald's on the way home so I think it was a success to her! Funny story about Gabby... She has been agonizing about getting older... you would think it was her 40th birthday instead of her 4th! She thinks everyone younger than her is cuter! Her cousins, some of her friends. I have to be really careful not to pay too much attention to other people's babies or she gets so jealous! So all day yesterday, she said it was her unbirthday that way she could still get presents and have cupcakes! Then when Adrian marked her birthday height chart, she grew and was actually taller than Isabel was at 4. She did not like that one bit! I think she is starting to accept that she is one year older now. We are trying to point out all of the cool things that come with being 4. On another note, she is a happy little girl! She got a real princess pink guitar from her Watkins/Whiterock cousins and a Disney Fairies Dry Erase table and chairs from us. Lucky for us, her birthday was the day after Black Friday!! She is a happy, healthy little girl and we are blessed to have her as the baby of the family! And as you can probably guess from the above, she tells us she prefers to stay that way! Happy Birthday Gabby!

Thanksgiving Camping
We went camping for Thanksgiving this year in East Texas. It was Martin Creek Lake State Park in the small town of Tatum just south of Longview. If you like country folk, this is the place;-) It was fun, but cold! Good thing we have all the comforts of home with our travel trailer now! We arrived Wednesday night, late. Adrian's sister, Julie and her family were there already freezing by the fire! Luckily they had a heater in the tent. Thursday we had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Julie fried the turkey and warmed the ham over the fire. I prepared most of the sides and then of course we had pumpkin and pecan pie! Then Chris, Julie and I went Black Friday shopping of course! Great deals! I could've done more. But it was awesome. Also on Friday night, we went into Marshall and walked around the town square to enjoy the Christmas Festivities and into Santa's workshop where the kids got to help the elves make toys. Then we took quite a drive into Tyler to a drive through lights show.
We packed up on Saturday which was also Gabby's 4th birthday and stopped at Chick Fil A to celebrate before we parted ways to go home. It was a fun time!

Isabel MVP
Isabel was named MVP of her class at school! She got to go to a special breakfast this morning before school with the principal and assistant principal. She was super excited. Her teacher says she always does her best in class and won't quit until she gets it right. Go Isabel!

Happy Birthday Ruben!
Happy Birthday to our 4th child, Ruben! He turned one on Monday! I tried to get a pic of him today but he was camera shy so I put this old one up. The kids want to have a birthday party for him so maybe we'll do that this weekend. I will try to get some pics of that!

AJ's school program, "America"
AJ had his 3rd grade music program last night. It was so good! It was about the history of music in America. He told me he wasn't going to sing but he did! I wasn't able to get very good pictures. Isabel took a video so it's not really that great but the sound is good so you can hear how great they sang! There are 2 short videos and they will be up in my video side bar of the blog as soon as they are finished uploading.
